1977 - Elvis Costello and The Attractions made a last minute appearance on Saturday Night Live when The Sex Pistols, the originally scheduled musical guests, were denied visas into the country.

1982 - The Who performed the "last concert of our farewell tour" at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto.

1986 - In Palo Alto, California, The Doobie Brothers reunited for a benefit concert. The gig would inspire the band to hit the road for a reunion tour the following year.

1986 - Paul & Linda McCartney's limo caught fire while traveling to a TV taping in Newcastle, England. Both got out of the accident unscathed.

1994 - Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora married Heather Locklear.
