Forty-year-old Christian Drummond found it difficult to get a job, even with an English lit degree from Sussex University in England. But he's found an innovative way to make some serious cash during the recession: bar trivia games.

The computerized games in U.K. pubs pay out cold hard cash, unlike most of their American counterparts, and Drummond tells the Daily Mail he scores up to $95,000 a year. Thanks to U.K. tax laws, gambling winnings are considered tax-free.

"I wanted to use my brain to earn money, and I am doing that, but it is not quite how I imagined I would do it," said Drummond, who says he honed his trivia skills studying maps on long road trips with his dad.
