Yes is giving select cable and satellite TV subscribers the chance to watch the band's March 5 concert at San Francisco's Warfield theater live from the comfort of their own homes. The show, which is the prog-rock legends' third scheduled gig on their upcoming North American tour, will air that evening at 11 p.m. ET on the AXS TV network.
The Yes: 3 - 5 - Live special will capture one of a series of concerts that the band is playing this year during which they will deliver full performances of three of their classic 1970s albums -- 1971's The Yes Album, 1972's Close to the Edge and 1977's Going for the One. The North American leg of the tour kicks off March 1 in West Wendover, Nevada, and is scheduled through an April 12 concert in Detroit. The group also has lined up a few South American shows in May. The last time Yes played any of its entire albums in concert was 1973.
In conjunction with the concert special, AXS TV has launched a contest offering fans the chance to win a copy of the audiophile edition of Yes' Close to the Edge CD. Visit OfferPop.com/AXSTV to find out how to enter.
